Shortly after our one-year wedding anniversary, my husband Mike and I decided to mix things up and start a life together in a new city. We set our sites on Denver, Colorado, mainly because I have family in Colorado and the cost of living was so much more attractive than the San Francisco Bay Area where we were living at the time. We left July 23, 2007, on a wing and a prayer in a U-Haul (along with our puppy Bailey and our rabbit Simba) and haven’t looked back since. This blog will document the ups and downs along the way as we settle in and create a new life in a new place. Feel free to follow along on our journey as we try and make this new state “home.”
